Mooneerams Solicitors are delighted to announce that Lowri Edwards has been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales.
Cardiff-born and bred Lowri officially became a Solicitor of the Supreme Court on Wednesday, March 6th, after successfully completing her two-year period as a trainee solicitor at Mooneerams a few weeks ago.
There was yet more good news to come when Lowri accepted an offer to continue her burgeoning legal career with Mooneerams as a Solicitor following her qualification as a solicitor.
Everyone at Mooneerams is delighted for Lowri, who started her career as a Postgraduate Paralegal in our Cardiff office in October 2021, after leaving Cardiff University.
Lowri wasn’t always destined to become a lawyer. Initially, she took Geography at Cardiff University, where she successfully earned a 2:1 degree. However, the field of geography’s loss was to be the legal profession’s gain when Lowri decided to become a lawyer, despite the fact that by doing so, she was consigning herself to two more years of studies, a notoriously difficult exam and two years of training as s solicitor.
As a non-law graduate, she took the gruelling law conversion course, the one-year Graduate Diploma in Law, followed by the equally stern test of completing the Legal Practice Course. Subsequently, whilst undertaking her two-year training contract with Mooneerams, Lowri also studied for and passed the Law Society’s Professional Skills Course
So, Lowri, like all newly qualified solicitors who’ve followed the same path, deserves all the plaudits she’s received over the past few days.
Lowri has become immersed in all aspects of personal injury work, particularly road traffic accident claims, serious injury claims, accidents at work, and public liability claims.
Mooneerams Solicitors works closely with Cardiff University and the University of South Wales, attending Career Fairs, giving talks, and providing budding young lawyers with the opportunity to gain work experience in a thriving Cardiff solicitors firm.
Mooneerams Managing Director Alistair Worth said:
“We are all thrilled that Lowri has qualified as a solicitor. It’s a fantastic moment for Lowri, her family and her friends and a fitting reward for the hours of study and hard work that go into becoming a solicitor. We had no hesitation in offering Lowri the role of Solicitor, at the end of her training contract and subsequent qualification. She has become a very capable lawyer over the course of the past few years.
At Mooneerams Solicitors we pride ourselves on providing opportunities for would be young solicitors from Cardiff and the Valleys to realise their dreams regardless of their background.”
